How Westbridge Tax & Wealth collects, uses, and retains personal data.
Data controller
Westbridge Tax & Wealth is the data controller for personal information collected through scalebrowser.digital and during consultations. Contact: hello@scalebrowser.digital, +44-6-908-6263, 6569 Parkside, Legrosworth, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
Data we collect
When you enquire, we typically receive your name, email address, preferred meeting window, selected advice interest, and the message you write. During an engagement we may process financial documents you voluntarily provide — such as pension statements or tax summaries — solely to deliver the agreed consultation.
Technical data such as browser type and pages visited may be collected if you accept analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.
Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to enquiries and scheduling consultations — legitimate interests and steps prior to a contract.
- Delivering paid advice engagements and keeping engagement records — performance of a contract and legal obligations where applicable.
- Sending optional planning notes if you subscribe — consent, which you may withdraw.
- Improving the website using aggregated analytics — consent for non-essential cookies.
Retention
Enquiry messages without an engagement are retained for up to twenty-four months unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing discussion. Engagement files are retained for at least six years after the final meeting to meet professional and tax record expectations, then reviewed for deletion or anonymisation. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Processors and sharing
We use email and document tools hosted by reputable providers to operate the practice. We do not sell personal data. We may share information with your accountant or solicitor only when you ask us to, or when required by law.
International transfers
If a processor stores data outside the United Kingdom, we require appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses approved for UK transfers.
Security
We apply access controls and careful handling of documents you send us. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive identifiers through the website form.
Updates
We may revise this notice periodically. The published version on this page is current from its update date.
