Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling
These rules apply to paid consulting engagements with Westbridge Tax & Wealth — not to products or subscriptions we do not sell.
Eligibility
Fees relate to scheduled consultation time and written outputs described in your engagement letter. Refunds are available when we cancel an engagement, when you cancel within the timeframes below, or when we agree that the booked scope cannot be delivered.
Timeframe for requests
Please request cancellations or refunds in writing to hello@scalebrowser.digital as soon as you know a date cannot proceed. Deposit refunds for client-initiated cancellations made fourteen or more clear days before the meeting are ordinarily full. Cancellations between thirteen and five clear days may receive a fifty percent refund of fees paid. Cancellations inside five clear days are generally non-refundable except at our discretion for illness or bereavement documented in writing.
Full and partial refunds
A full refund applies if we cancel and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, or if you cancel within the fourteen-day window before the meeting and no preparatory analysis beyond the standard questionnaire review has begun. Partial refunds may apply when preparatory work has started but the meeting has not occurred — we will itemise time already spent.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for consultations that have already taken place
- Written planning notes or briefings already delivered
- Agreed travel expenses already incurred for off-site meetings
- Deposits forfeited under the late-cancellation rules above
Work already started
If you have sent documents and we have begun analysis before the meeting, we may deduct a preparation fee reflecting hours actually spent before calculating any refund. We will tell you before deducting more than twenty-five percent of the package fee for preparation alone.
No-shows
If you miss a confirmed meeting without notice, the session fee is due in full. We may offer one reschedule at our discretion if contact is made within forty-eight hours and capacity allows.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without charge when you give at least seven clear days’ notice. Further reschedules may incur an administration fee of £40 or be treated as a cancellation under the rules above.
Deposits
A fifty percent deposit typically secures your date. The deposit is credited toward the engagement fee. It is refundable or forfeited according to the cancellation windows in this policy.
Refund process and timing
Email hello@scalebrowser.digital with your name, meeting date, and reason for the request. We confirm the decision within ten working days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval. If the original method is unavailable, we will arrange a bank transfer to a UK account you nominate.
Exceptions
Statutory rights that apply to consumers in the United Kingdom are not affected by this policy. Engagement letters may set additional terms for retainers or multi-meeting programmes; where they conflict on refunds, the engagement letter prevails for that booking.
